Edward Carter Gallery
Located at Front and Market Streets, the gallery is housed in the Inn at Canal
Square. The Carter Gallery specializes in work by nationally known fine-art
photographers, including Ansel Adams. The exhibit also features "Images of
Lewes" by Carter himself, a New Yorker who also has galleries in New York, California

The Saxon
Swan
Located on the corner of Second Street and Savannah Road, the Saxon Swan features
a wide selection of artistic pieces. Pottery, figurines, paintings, painted
furniture and other items, some of which fall into the gift category, are found in the
shop. Many of the items have been collected by owners Nick Serratore and Lawrence

The Animation Art Gallery
On the ground-level of the historic New Devon Inn, on the corner of Second and
Market Streets, is found the Animation Art Gallery. The gallery features lithographs
and limited edition animation cells from Walt Disney Art Classics and other sources.

The Stepping Stone
Located at Front and Market Streets, the Stepping Stone displays many unique
handmade pieces. Offerings there include handmade musical instruments, clocks,
pottery, picture frames and wooden ship models. For more information call

The Cape Artists' Gallery
110 West Third Street. This group was founded in 1984 by students of Lewes
artist Howard Schroeder. There are now approximately two dozen of the artists.
With much of their work focusing on beach scenes, the Cape Artists are often seen

The Peninsula Gallery
Located on Savannah Road, the Peninsula Gallery is found on the first floor of
the Beacon Motel. Though the Peninsula houses a busy framing operation, the business
also features a two-room gallery. One room displays mostly regional artists.
