Tour the Town - Stop 17

Where the Delaware Bay meets the Atlantic Ocean, there's something for everyone. The Cape Henlopen State Park offers sandy beaches, nature trails, history and camping. It is also a wonderful place for bird and nature watching.  Lying amidst rolling dunes, in the shadow of a World War II observation tower, is Fort Miles Historical Area.  Fort Miles, located in what is now Cape Henlopen State Park, was a key piece in the nation's coastal defense during WWII.
