IF STONES COULD TALK....

If stones could talk, they would tell of the rich history of Lewes, Delaware. This ancient graveyard would tell of the arrival of the Dutch colonists in Lewes in 1631, how they lived and how they died at the hands of the Indians soon after their arrival.

These stones would tell you that St. Peter’s was founded as part of the Church of England in 1681.

Stroll through the graveyard, place yourself back in time and listen for the soft voices of long ago!
